Salute to veterans! 2014

One nation under God - Salute to veterans 2014

Salute to veterans 2014 – In God We Trust

This may offend most people, but war is an offense to all. This is not for children, but then again, we are all God’s children. There is no reason or sense to war, yet there is no peace without war. Oh, The price paid for our freedom, to be where we are now. Maybe it was a video that started all these war’s, but then what does it matter?

Or so they say…

What do you say?
And then there is The Truth,
 The Pain,
  The Sacrifice,
   The Memories,
    The Nightmares,
     The Tears,
      The shameful lies,
To lay down your life for your fellow-man,
        To love even your enemy,
         To have compassion,
To have God on your side!

May our country stay strong despite the lies, lack of leadership, the use of racism as a political tool to undermine the years of progress, and the use of racism to divide our country and others. The use of narcissistic agendas and politics that are deliberate stumbling blocks for progress. The corporate greed, and power of corruption.

It is not politically correct to seek the truth of matters. It is an obligation to our integrity as individuals and as a nation.

May these seed’s of power and greed die as quickly as they were planted. The American people are greater than this. We are our brothers keeper, and stewards of this world we share and live in. Peace, like Love; takes hard work over a life time. For all people of all nation’s. It can and must overpower hate, anger, and greed of every kind.

Take a stand for the absolute truth. Nothing more and nothing less.

In memory of those that are no longer with us.

My thanks to all of you for taking the stand. God bless you and this country.

May “Old Glory” fly mighty and high-Always!

Latest Music – Fourever Fab – Beatles

This gallery contains 2 photos.

The Fourever Fab – It was a great presentation musically and the stage performance with costumes really topped it off. From vintage style instruments to those crazy haircuts, it all fit together. John, Paul, George, and Ringo, The Beatles; I finally was able to see them perform. As close as I will ever get. If you were fortunate enough to see them live in the 60’s with all of the hysteria, it must have been an unforgettable experience. And if you did not see The Beatles, then you can catch up by going to see “The Fourever Fab” when they are in your vicinity. Continue reading

When?   Pikes Peak Hill Climb this Sunday June 30, 2013

Pikes Peak Hill Climb 2013, PPIHC (Pikes Peak International Hill Climb) official race site for updates, look at lower right for “Latest Results”, Race Day this Sunday June 30, 2013:  Link

This year they expect to beak records at the Pikes Peak Hill Climb, let’s see what the Colorado mountain weather bring to the race. Of course you will have to wait till race day to discover this. Not to mention the climate changes they will experience on the way to the top. We are expecting some light rain here in Colorado, so this could mean some snow at the top. “The fun of it all!” Here is a quick excerpt PPIHC website: The 9 Minute Club,” all five competitors who have broken the once elusive 10-minute barrier will be in the race; Rhys Millen (9:46.164 in 2012), Romain Dumas (9:46.181 in 2012), Nobuhiro Tajima (9:51.278 in 2011), Carlin Dunne (9:52.819 in 2012) and Greg Tracy (9:58.262 in 2012).

But based on practice and testing times this week, it may result in the first sub-nine minute mark and new records in almost every division on the fully paved 12.42 mile course with 156 turns if the mountain and the weather cooperate with race organizers.

Sunday’s forecast for Colorado Springs itself is a high of 82 degrees with a 10% chance of precipitation, but that’s for the city, not the course, which begins at 9,390 feet and ends at 14,110 feet at the mountain’s finish line.

Fans will recall that the weather at the summit last year chipped in with hail, snow and rain in the late afternoon, with the last few divisions going back down the hill to a new finish line and a shortened circuit.
